Our main service is to provide care in comfort to those living at home who need help. Our carers are trained to deliver a high standard of care. The focus is on supportive care that is delivered with dignity and respect for individuals. Following your initial assessment You can expect to be visited by one or two regular carers who are experienced and skilled enough to help with your care needs.
What can you do to help me? We can offer help and support with washing and dressing, shopping, escorting to appointments, lunch outings, relief care for relatives, care of the elderly, care for individuals with a physical disability, help following discharge from hospital, care of those individuals who have a diagnosis of dementia and end of life care. What if my needs change and I need more or less help? We will review your care package with you at regular intervals. Reviews will take place at 8 weeks, six months and then a year. Should you request a review sooner we will meet with you at the earliest opportunity. I like to get up late and go to bed early is this a problem? No, when we undertake an assessment with you will will look at your normal daily activities. This will include planning visits at a times that suits you. Our carers work between 7am and 10pm. I want someone to take me shopping or to my GP surgery can you do this? Yes, we will organise shopping trips or arrange for a carer to take you to visit your GP. We can also organise trips to friends and lunch outings if you choose. I am the main carer for my elderly parent and need someone to help whilst I take a rest. Can you help? Yes, we can arrange a regular weekly, bi-monthly or monthly visit to enable you to have a break. Talk to us about your requirements and the needs of your parent. We may be able to offer advice and support that you have not thought about accessing. |
